Privacy notice
Who we are
BITE is a small project run by Borys Karpliak, a self-employed person registered in the Czech trade register (živnostenský rejstřík), IČO 23495839, business address: Chudenická 1059/30, 102 00 Praha 10 - Hostivař, Czech Republic. For any privacy question or request, email borys.karpliak@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist, so we can tell you when Batch 01 preorders open. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- The product options you picked (edition, bite style) and the ad campaign that brought you here, stored with your email so we know which version you were interested in.
- Anonymous usage counts (for example, how many visitors clicked "Add to cart"). These contain no name, email, IP address or identifier and use no cookies.
We don't sell your data and we don't use it for anything other than the BITE launch.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) to measure how our ads perform. It sets cookies and sends Meta information about your visit. If you click Decline, it is not loaded. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and reload the page.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites.
Where it's stored and for how long
The site and waitlist are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which may process data outside the EU under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We keep your email until Batch 01 launches and for up to 12 months after, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Anonymous usage counts are deleted after 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).
